At 2:45 a.m. on August 16, Kaden Laga's family posted on Facebook: "God is real. He answers prayers and is a God of miracles."
Kaden Laga went missing in the Bitterroot Mountains of southwest Montana on Sunday, August 11, after becoming separated from his family while riding horseback. On Friday morning, the Laga family posted that Kaden had been found alive and healthy after he wandered into one of the search and rescue camps.
Along with their testimony of the reality of God, the Laga family posted, "Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU again for everyone’s effort and prayers. . . . He’s well enough to stay the night and fly out in helicopter first thing in the morning where we will meet him where they land."
Since the beginning of the search for Kaden, the Laga family has relied on their faith in God for comfort and help, calling for others to fast and pray for his safe return.
On Tuesday, August 13, Kaden's wife, Arden, posted on Facebook:
"Thank you all for your love, prayers, fasting, messages, and support. . . .We feel so much peace that we will find him safe, and I hope that will happen today! We have so much help and so many people on standby. Almost all of his immediate family members are here now in Montana and we are just trying to get sleep so we can function better. "I personally have felt God's continued reassurance that we will be reunited soon and that all is well. All circumstances given, there are a lot of good things happening. Faith and hope are key and I have felt this wonderful community made up of family, friends, and strangers lift us up through prayer during this time."
The night before finding Kaden, the Laga family posted:
"We have had a lot of miracles happen today and really positive outcomes. . . . As the days go on our confidence in finding Kaden grows more and more. You would think our hope and faith would diminish, but that has not been the case. We all have felt your prayers, fasting, positive thoughts, generosity, outreach, and loving words buoy us up! We are absolutely blown away by how far-reaching Kaden’s story has gone and how spiritually healing it’s been to family members, friends, and even complete strangers. People who have never prayed or fasted before are doing so now to help us find Kaden, and this has been such a wonderful and deep expression of love. Thank you all! Keep the faith because we will find Kaden."
Six hours after that post, Kaden's family celebrated his safe return, and their Facebook page flooded with responses of those testifying of the goodness and love of God.
