"He has still got a warrior's heart, he is just on a different battlefield with a higher purpose," Laura Butler shared of her son Aaron, who died while clearing a booby-trapped building in Afghanistan.
Laura then paraphrased a scripture from John 13:15 that captured her son's life: "For a man to lay down his life for his friends and his country, you can't help but love that."
With Laura speaking to reporters was her husband, Randy Butler, and her son's fiancé, Alex Seagroves, who became engaged to Aaron Butler while he was serving in Afghanistan. "Love never stops," Randy Butler added, speaking of the love of his son as well as that of the community.
