Saving lives in Ghana
According to The World Health Organization, one million newborns die because of breathing difficulties each year. To help prevent tragic deaths, LDS Charities sent volunteers to present a five-day neonatal resuscitation training (NRT) to health professionals in Ghana. At least 100 doctors, nurses and midwives were trained. The volunteers encouraged each attendee to train at least ten more people.
