“How popular is our website? It would be nice to know if our website was in the top 50 (genealogy websites),” the researcher said. “So I went out there and found the top 50 and developed this system.”
In the process, Meyerink learned a lot of interesting information and wanted to share his findings with others.
“Frankly, the more we know about what is out there, the better we are going to be as researchers,” he said.
Meyerink shared his “50 Most Popular Genealogy Websites for 2011” with a few hundred people at Thursday’s RootsTech Conference at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
