More than 25 years after Mark Hofmann's bombing and murders exposed his historic Mormon documents as forgeries, an audiotape has surfaced that gives a glimpse of the swindler at work. The recording details Hofmann's attempt to sell the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — now the Community of Christ — a supposed original writing from Joseph Smith that sets out a plan for succession in the Mormon church.
