Last year at Oktoberfest, nearly 6 million people consumed7.7 million liters (over 2 million gallons) of beer. Along with that, these visitors lost 600 passports, 580 wallets, 320 mobile phones, and 220 bags, according to Oktoberfest.de.
No doubt Oktoberfest has a big draw around the world. But this year, BYU has decided to take part in this international and cultural celebration in a unique way. Instead of focusing on beer, BYU has made its drink of choice milk in their "Milktoberfest." And it's been catching on among BYU students:

Only at @BYU would #Milktoberfest be a thing. And yet, I'm kind of proud, haha. https://t.co/4JLEEQgZmy pic.twitter.com/xgCxCcRmp4
