BYU football: Max Hall signs as free agent with Cardinals

In addition to tight end Dennis Pitta selected in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, three other Cougars signed as free agents with NFL teams Saturday.

Quarterback Max Hall signed with the Arizona Cardinals, running back Manase Tonga agreed to a deal with the Oakland Raiders and tight end Andrew George inked with the Carolina Panthers.

Hall was a two-time Sports Illustrated All-America honorable-mention selection and a three-time All-MWC quarterback while leading the Cougar offense the past three seasons. During his career, Hall won more games than any other BYU quarterback with 32, while amassing 11,365 yards passing and throwing for 94 touchdowns. Hall set 14 different school or conference records.
