Brigham Young University Winterfest 2017

Experience the artistic talent of music and dance as performing groups from Brigham Young University take the stage in Salt Lake City at BYU Winterfest 2017. Over the course of several weekends, beginning January 28th and running through February 18th, BYU performing groups will dazzle audiences with performances showcasing a variety of artistic tastes. BYU Winterfest 2017 provides entertainment for audiences of all ages and will be held in the LDS Conference Center Theater as part of Temple Square Performances.

Vocal Point will be starting off this event with a cappella hits and an outstanding stage presence. Young Ambassadors will be premiering their new show, Welcome Home, which celebrates the memories and love within families with the best of Broadway show tunes. Ballroom Dance Company will grace the stage with their show, Swing ‘n’ Sway that includes championships winning numbers. International Folk Dance Ensemble will provide a journey around the world through different eras, while Living Legends will present history and traditions of their ancestors. Noteworthy will be performing on the last weekend, singing the event into a close with perfect pitch and harmony, including their most popular song “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)”.  

Ballroom Dance Company, International Folk Dance Ensemble, Living Legends, and Young Ambassadors originate in the College of Fine Arts and Communications, and Noteworthy and Vocal Point originate in the office of Performing Arts Management, both departments at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  BYU is one of the nation’s largest private universities with an enrollment of more than 30,000 full-time students from throughout the United States and 100 foreign countries.

Ballroom Dance Company: Swing ’n’ Sway, under the direction of Curt and Sharon Holman, treats audiences to a spectacular variety of dances, including gliding waltzes, playful swing dances, and high-energy Latin numbers.
