Church Creates 2 New Stakes, Reorganizes Others in February

Learn about the new stakes that have been created in Nigeria and Brazil, as well as three others that have been reorganized across the world. 

Two new stakes have been created.

A new stake was created from the Etinan Nigeria District. The Etinan Nigeria North Stake, which consists of the Afaha Nsit, Ikot Oku Iyan, Ikot Udoabia, Ndiya, Obotim, and Uyo Road Branches and the Ikot Ananga, Ikot Ebo 1st, Ikot Ebo 2nd, Ikot Obio Asanga, and Mbiokporo Nsit Wards, was created by Elder Larry S. Kacher, General Authority Seventy, and Elder I. Raymond Egbo, an Area Seventy.

ETINAN NIGERIA NORTH STAKE (October 15, 2017): President—Uwem J. Eshiet, 44, community liaison officer, CLECC Ltd.; wife, Rose Uwem Eshiet. Counselors—Ubong S. Jonah, 34, teacher; wife, Glory U. Jonah. Peter J. Esu, 61, employee, Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Works; wife, Esther Etukudo Udota.

A new stake was created from the Cascavel Brazil Stake. The Foz do Iguaçu Brazil Stake, which consists of the Medianeira Branch and the Cataratas, Foz do Iguaçu, Itaipu, Portal de Foz, and Porto Meira Wards, was created by Elder W. Mark Bassett, General Authority Seventy, and Elder Carlos R. Toledo, an Area Seventy.

FOZ DO IGUAÇU BRAZIL STAKE (November 26, 2017): President—Eduardo Luiz Medeiros, 35, professor; wife, Natalia Cristina Duarte Medeiros. Counselors—Valentim Gonçalves Moreira, 55, retired; wife, Lindinalva Antunes Moreira. Alexandre Americo, 42, manager, Hard7; wife, Silvane Barbosa de Oliveira.
