City surpluses property before sale to LDS Church for Provo temple

Another portion of 100 South around 50 West was added to the city's surplus property list on Tuesday. During its regular meeting the Provo Municipal Council gave Mayor John Curtis the authority to dispose of the property in preparation for it to be purchased by the LDS Church. The property is approximately 0.119 acres of the street that is adjacent to the Nu Skin parking terrace. The terrace, which was recently purchased by the church, is scheduled to be demolished in the spring. The LDS Church will pay $21 a square foot, or approximately $108,856.
