Cougar basketball season marked with success

Cougar supporters have mixed emotions about how the BYU men’s basketball team’s season ended. Many are pleased with the Cougars’ first advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 17 years. Others had expectations of watching the team play its way through the Sweet 16 in Salt Lake City.

Regardless of the team’s tournament performance, the list of records the Cougars set as a team and as individuals make it easy to see this team was a special group of players.

The Cougars had several dominating performances, one of which was during their final regular season game against conference opponent TCU. BYU’s 107-77 victory marked the team’s 28th regular-season victory. The Cougars had 28 wins during the regular season, an accomplishment that hasn’t been met in BYU history.
