Departing Mormon mission president describes his 3 year assignment

Being assigned by the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be a full-time mission president in Texas in 2009 was a life changing event for Greg Saylin. His entire family would move to Houston and he would put his professional life as an attorney on hold for three years. Now at the end of his missionary service, it’s been three years of very demanding yet very fulfilling work. 70 hour weeks are the norm and the pace is fast and non-stop.
