Doodling for Google awards LDS valedictorian with national honorable mention

The valedictorian was presented with an honorable-mention award for his drawing that depicts the love of reading and the world of exploration it provides. Seven-year-old Matteo Lopez won after an online popular vote. Rhodes was among a handful of contestants who were recognized by the judges, including Olympic gold medalist figure skater Evan Lysacek and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" author Jeff Kinney as a part of a national contest that involved selection of the winner according to the most votes accumulated on google.com.
