Elder Richard G. Scott will preside at BYU Commencement April 21

Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be the speaker and presiding authority at the Brigham Young University April 2011 Commencement ceremonies Thursday, April 21, at 4 p.m. in the Marriott Center.

The exercises will be conducted by Elder Cecil O. Samuelson, president of BYU and a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of the Church. They will be joined on the stand by members of the BYU administration and other Church leaders.

Paige Crosland Anderson, a native of Provo and an honors graduate in studio arts with a minor in English, will be the student speaker. The Men’s Chorus under the direction of Rosalind Hall will perform for the event.
