Elders Perry and Scott visit Eastern Europe

A 10-day visit by Elder L. Tom Perry and Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve and Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Presidency of the Seventy recently blessed the Europe East Area.

Also included in the meetings were Elder Gregory R. Schwitzer of the Seventy, president of the Europe East Area, and his counselors, Elder Larry R. Lawrence of the Seventy and Elder Aleksandr N. Manzhos, Area Seventy.

During their visit, June 4-13, member conferences, leadership meetings, missionary conferences and firesides were held in many cities throughout the vast landmass of Eastern Europe. Specific sites visited included Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirk and Yekaterinburg, Russia; Kyiv, Ukraine; and Yerevan, Armenia.

Through satellite support, leaders in other cities from Siberia to Ukraine were instructed, had their leadership questions answered and received spiritual strengthening as they heard the testimonies of the apostles.

The feeling of love from the members was evident in each meeting.

"I was impressed with the enthusiasm of Elder Perry. I wrote down some of his ideas and I will try to share my enthusiasm for life with others," said Sergey Grachov in Moscow.
