Famous Physicist to NY Times: 'I Treasure the Book of Mormon'

Among a list of books like The Left Side of History by Kristen Ghodsee and The Parthenon Enigma by Joan Connelly, a book you might recognize slipped into a literary interview with physicist, mathematician, and author Freeman Dyson.

The New York Times sat down with the famous physicist last week, and among questions about his current readings and favorite tomes, they asked, "What books might we be surprised to find on your shelves?"

Dyson's answer?

The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I treasure it because some of my best friends are Mormons, and the book tells a dramatic story in a fine biblical style. The reader has to wait with growing tension almost until the end of the story to reach the final climax, when Jesus arrives in America and founds his second kingdom here.
