Father feels Elder Strong's mission was extended — again

It was two or three months ago that Elder Trevor Reinhold Strong, serving in the Texas McAllen Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, first wrote home to his parents, Gordon and Deb Strong of Kearns, about the possibility of extending his mission for a few weeks. "He told us that he had talked to the mission president about it, and he was fine with it," Gordon said during a telephone interview Thursday night. "He said, 'whatever you say, I'll do. But I would like to stay a little longer.'"
