The First Presidency announced August 1 that the open house for the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple will begin August 10 and continue through September 9, with the dedication of the temple on September 18.

Announced by President Thomas S. Monson in October 2008, the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple will be the 152nd temple in the world and the first in Pennsylvania.

According to Mormon Newsroom, the temple features stone from Maine, Egypt, and Italy. The architecture and decorations blend in with the rich history of Philadelphia, featuring classic Georgian architecture, original art glass, and artwork of both American and Church history.
