Five ways to celebrate Easter

As a child, I gave a brief nod to Easter because of the candy-filled eggs. Most of my heart was reserved for Christmas.

As an adult, I find that my preferences have flip-flopped. Stripped of the commercialism, I can easily bypass the pastel bunny aisle in the store and really focus on this most sacred holiday. Easter, like Christ’s life, can remain simple and unadorned.

In our church we do not celebrate Easter with the pomp and ritual of other faiths, but there are still things we can do to commemorate and celebrate this Holy Week.
