Former Cougar stars reflect on experiences

Former BYU stars Max Hall, Austin Collie and John Beck took some time out from coaching youthful football players this week to talk about such things as Utah’s move to the Pac-10 and Boise State joining the MWC.

Hall discussed his upcoming first season as a professional quarterback with his new team, the Arizona Cardinals.

“I’m having a blast playing with these guys and working hard,” Hall said. “I think they’ll keep me around. It’s a business, every man for himself. There’s a lot to learn and a lot to get better at.”

Wide receiver Austin Collie weighed in on his outstanding rookie season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2009.

“It is a dream come true,” Collie said. “Obviously these kids have the dream to grow up, play football and go to the Super Bowl, and I had the exact same dream as all of these kids do. To be able to live that dream my first year as a rookie was spectacular.”
