A June 18 groundbreaking has been scheduled for the first Mormon temple in South Florida.
The 25,000-square-foot structure will be built on 14-acres at Interstate 75 and Griffin Road in Davie. Church leaders recently said it will serve Mormons from Fort Myers to the Bahamas.
