To some, a wedding dress is almost as big a deal as the wedding ceremony.
But for some BYU-Hawaii students, saying yes to any wedding dress seems impossible. With students from roughly 74 countries attending BYU-Hawaii, not all have the resources to purchase new wedding dresses.
However, Church members in Hawaii are working to change that. Stake Relief Society President Rose Ram collects modest wedding dresses for those who cannot afford to purchase them. The dresses are washed and loaned to those who need the dresses.
The stake even modified cabinets in a relief society room to accommodate storing the dresses.
For those in need, the dresses are precious gifts of service.
"Every dress is treasured," wrote Christina Haddow Millard, who helps with the dresses, in a Facebook post.
