LDS Blogger Jill Nystul gained a lot of attention recently for her simple cleaning tip, one the Daily Mail called genius. The concoction—a combination of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide—is one she typically uses for most cleaning jobs. She recently used it to experiment with her grimy, rusted baking sheets and found it doesn't require any hard work.

"Normally when cleaning with this dynamic duo, I make a paste of the two and just start scrubbing. Today I decided to add an extra ingredient. Time. I didn’t feel like actually doing much scrubbing… but I had TIME to see what my 'Miracle Cleaner' could accomplish if left to its’ own devices for awhile," Nystul wrote on her blog.

After leaving the mixture on a small trial spot on her pan and taking the time to go eat breakfast, she came back to find the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide had absorbed all the stains on the pan.

"When we got home I rubbed a little of the cleaner off and was actually quite astonished to see MOST of the gunk came right off!" Nystul wrote.

The simple cleaning hack recently went viral and has been shared on dailymail.co.uk, lifehacker.com, and deseretnews.com. According to Nystul, this concoction works well in cleaning other places in your home, not just pans. So give it a try and see if it makes your home cleaning a little simpler.
