Latter-day Saints Charity Anderson and Andres Peñate made World of Dance history by becoming the first couple to earn a perfect score on the show earlier this month. The duo has been dancing together since they were 8 years old and competing on World of Dance fulfills a dream of both dancers.

“I’ve just always thought that if you’re going to be doing something for the rest of your life, why not do something that you love? Getting to go to work and do something that’s fun to you — it sounds like a dream,” Peñate told the Deseret News. Anderson added, “Every time I dance I get to explore new worlds that I can’t talk about. I love sharing stories with people and having other people feel what I’m feeling. I love to relate with people and I feel like I can do that best through dance.”

After choreographing their own routine to Kaleo’s "Way Down We Go," Anderson and Peñate received a perfect score and the praise of the judges.

“Beyond the amazingness of the dance, a crystal-clear storyline, on top of the fact that you did things with your bodies that human beings just can’t do,” Ne-Yo told the pair.
