Robert T. Barrett
In addition to being an accomplished painter, muralist, and illustrator, Robert Barrett is also a professor in the Department of Visual Arts at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He has exhibited his work in many art shows including those at the Society of Illustrators in New York, the Directors Guild of America, N.Y., and the National Arts Club, N. Y. Robert was an Artist in Residence at the Kimball Art Center as the recipient of a joint grant from The National Endowment for the Arts and the Utah Arts Council. He has received multiple awards for his work both locally and nationally. A few of his clients includes Houghton Mifflin Hartcourt, Viking USA - with their imprints Puffin, Penguin, and and Deseret Book. He was recently selected as the 2010 “Distinguished Educator in the Arts” by the Society of Illustrator’s in New York City. He is a member of the Society of Illustrators, the Pastel Society of America, the Portrait Society of America, and Salmagundi Club.
Justin is an American representational artist, teacher, and designer of United States coinage. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Laguna College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University. Kunz’s paintings have been included in exhibitions throughout the United States and received recognitions including an Award of Merit in the Portrait Society of America‘s International Portrait Competition. An inaugural Master Designer in the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program, his designs include the 2009 Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar obverse and the 2008 Andrew Jackson’s Liberty First Spouse Gold Coin reverse. He is currently an Assistant Professor at BYU. His work is represented by Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara, California.
Julie grew up in the small town of Goshen, Utah working on a ranch. Julie studied fine art at Brigham Young University and it was there her art began to blossom. She is known for painting the stories of the pioneers and Julie has a unique ability to capture the light of the soul with vibrant colors and impressionistic style. Julie illustrated the newly released book “Emma Hale Smith, An Elect Lady”. Her recent entry in to the Ninth All Church Art Competition, “Charity Never Faileth,” received the honor of a purchase award and is currently on exhibit though October 2012 at the Church Museum of History and Art. She began this piece on site at a Lunch and Learn in the Flagship Deseret Book Gallery.
37th Annual Utah Valley Single Adult Conference
Our theme this year is "Be of good comfort, thy faith hath made thee whole." The week’s activities include a picnic in the park, temple sessions, workshops, firesides, service projects, mingles, dances, church services, a concert from the group Imagine, and a banquet with David Osmond. The United States Army Band Trumpet Ensemble consists of members of the ceremonial component of "Pershing's Own". While the Ceremonial Band's primary mission is to support over 2,000 military funerals each year in Arlington National Cemetery, the band performs other missions of national and international importance. Since its creation in 2009, The U.S. Army Band Trumpet Ensemble has quickly garnered an international following, performing in numerous concerts and recitals in the Washington, D.C. area. The International Trumpet Guild Conference in Sydney, Australia (2010), Virginia Commonwealth University (2010), the South Carolina Chapter of the ITG (SCITG-2010 and 2011) and the Sauerland-Herbst Festival in Germany (2011).

Come join 1,200 LDS Singles from all over the U.S. in California's largest LDS Singles Conference, "Pursue Your Path to Happiness," sponsored by all 16 Orange County California Stakes. It will have a little something for everyone: unlike other conferences, this year's conference will focus more on mixing and mingling with all-age 31+ activities as well as some separate activities for each "decade," 30s Midsingles, 40s, 50s, etc. Plenty of opportunities (both in large scale & smaller scale activities) to mix & mingle, and make new friends.

The Church History Museum sponsors a worldwide art competition for Latter-day Saint artists every three years.
