Utah Pioneer Days

July22-24, West Jordan, Utah

This wonderful celebration of the lives of the pioneers will span three whole days filled with pageants, concerts, games, Dutch oven cook-offs, fireworks and more! Don't miss out on the youth pageant that was written by Merrill Osmond. It's sure to features some wonderful, young talent and honor all the pioneers who helped settle the Salt Lake Valley. This event is also meant to raise hearing-health awareness and benefit local deaf children in the community with the gift of better hearing.

Nauvoo Pageant - “A Tribute to Joseph Smith”

July 9–August 3, Tuesdays through Saturdays, beginning at 8:30 p.m., Nauvoo, Illinois

Narrated by Parley P. Pratt, the pageant emphasizes the prophetic mission of Joseph Smith and honors the sacrifice, faith and courage of the Saints who gave their all to build a city and a temple to their God.

Men and Women of Faith Lecture - “Iosepa: Utah's Pacific Islander Pioneers”

July 11, 7:00 p.m., Assembly Hall, Salt Lake City, Utah

From 1889 to 1917, Latter-day Saint converts from Polynesia settled in Iosepa, a remote desert colony in Utah’s Skull Valley. Archaeological investigations at the town site have revealed how these pioneers from the Pacific sought to make the desert "blossom as the rose" by drawing upon their traditional cultures and their newfound faith.

Pioneer Day Concert to Feature Lindsey Stirling & Nathan Pacheco

July 19-20, 8:00 p.m., Conference Center, Salt Lake City, Utah

Up-and-coming Latter-day Saint artists Lindsey Stirling and Nathan Pacheco will be the featured performers with the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square at this year’s Pioneer Day concert on Friday and Saturday, 19 and 20 July, at 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Center.
