LDS Film Festival 2011 Schedule Released

The 10th Annual LDS Film Festival, set to be held January 26-29 at the Scera Center in Orem, Utah, has released its official schedule.

Some of the highlights of the festival schedule are:

The premiere of Michael Flynn’s directorial debut Midway To Heaven (official site), based on the novel by Dean Hughes. The film is about a widower who reluctantly steps back into the dating scene after his college-age daughter brings home her new boyfriend.

The premiere of Joseph Smith and the Golden Plates (trailer), the new film from writer-director (and LDS Film Festival organizer) Christian Vuissa (One Good Man, The Errand of Angels). Rather than a comprehensive biography, the film appears to focus solely on the early life of Joseph Smith and his translation of the Book of Mormon.
