Members of the New York, New York Stake along with 900 interfaith volunteers helped donated 7,500 hygiene kits to refugees on Saturday, June 5.

The stake members worked in two-shift rotations to help set up and stage the assembly lines for the massive project on Saturday, and the following Sunday 900 volunteers from Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh and Buddhist communities helped assemble the kits.

The project was organized by Heart to Heart International, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees and took place at the 69th Regiment Amory in Manhattan.

All of the kits will go to Syrian refugee camps in Turkey.
