Magazine showcases LDS artists and their faith

Artists come from all different walks of life, but one commonality of all artists showcased in one particular magazine is their faith.

Mormon Artist magazine started in June 2008 and published its first issue in September 2008.

The magazine comes out bimonthly and is committed to covering the Latter-day Saint arts world.

“There is a lot more going on in the LDS art world than most people realize,” said Ben Crowder, founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine.

Crowder said he has several goals for the publication, which include helping new artists get their names out, letting people know what is going in the Mormon art world and preserving as well as documenting the stories and testimonies of the artists.
