Eight years later, they are still making beautiful music together. Their most recent performance on March 13, 2010, surpassed even their highest expectations.
Now the choir is selling out seats -- to the point of setting up extra chairs to try to accommodate the public response -- and performing with the likes of Alex Boye of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
"We hit an apex," said Judy Morgan, public affairs interfaith specialist for the LDS Church in Arvada, who has managed the choir for the past seven years. "I don't know how we're going to top it."
Ten different churches come together to make up the 89-person choir -- with the number growing each year. Along with Mormons of the Arvada Stake, members of Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian and non-denominational congregations participate in the choir.
