Mass. newspaper shares LDS missionaries' conversion stories

They are a long way from their native Brazil.

The pair of elders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) spend their days on the streets of New Bedford with the objective "to bring souls unto Christ."

It is their mission to carry out Jesus' instructions to His apostles: Travel two by two from village to village speaking to anyone who will listen.

Mormons feel very strongly about their religious beliefs, yet they are tolerant of other faiths and encourage everyone to seek God.

Yet, even those born into Mormonism sometimes have their doubts and struggle to follow the faith of their fathers.
