While journalists have told tens of thousands of news stories involving members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — often referred to as "Mormons" — this last year, one quiet story continues to be neglected in the mainstream press. In so doing, readers don't always understand us. The story they often miss is the story of the handcart pioneers.
