Mormon sisters fight their way to "America's Got Talent" finals

Mormon sisters Ali and Christina Christensen were told early in life they would never sing in public because their cystic fibrosis would restrict their breathing and cut their lives short.

They proved the naysayers wrong when they auditioned in Portland, Ore., for "America's Got Talent" and competed at the quarterfinals in Las Vegas to be one of 12 acts to advance to the finals in Hollywood on the popular NBC television show judged by Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandell and Piers Morgan — and ultimately by the American viewing public.

Twenty-year-old Ali is currently "Miss Idaho Falls."
