Often when we think of Mary, we think of the young woman willing to trust in God entirely and the mother willing to protect her infant son at all costs.

But rarely do we think of the humility and faith Mary had to follow her Son and come to rely on Him as her Savior. "She knew more about Jesus than anyone else on earth. She knew that He was sinless. Mary knew of His extraordinary capacity to solve problems," Elder Whitney L. Clayton says. "She had unshakable confidence in Him and His divine power."

Just like Mary, our lives are transformed when we choose to let go of our pride and rely on Jesus Christ. "We become something more and better than we ever otherwise could be," Elder Clayton says.
