Thanks to several changes recently made to FamilySearch.org, patrons use an upgraded search engine to access to millions of new records and images, find thousands of helpful articles, learn from interactive courses of instruction, and ask genealogical questions in a dynamic forum. The latest version of the FamilySearch.org website provides a richer family history experience by putting all FamilySearch content, services and products on the same site.
“We have been able to put more data online – 800 million original source records – for people to search that are brand new,” said Paul Nauta, FamilySearch public affairs manager. “We are trying to take not only the knowledge of our staff but of specialists around the world and basically create tools, and let the communities govern themselves. Ever hear of that principle before?”
