LDS.biz promises to offer people with common interest and values things that other popular social networking platforms do not. At first glance LDS.biz does not stand out much form Facebook or Linkdin, offering personal profiles that include the standard friends, photos and blog posts. Upon looking further into the site, users can find differences such as the ability to find a business mentor or the chance to earn site "service points." Users receive service points for adding value to their online community through things such as answering or posting discussion topics. Top service point earners, according to LDS.biz, will receive prizes and invites to special networking events. Tommy Auger, who started using LDS.biz as a way to network after losing his job, is currently on the sites "leader board" for top service point earners and has enjoyed his experience with LDS.biz.
