Parents of LDS Sandy Hook victim, Emilie Parker, touched by memorial dedicated in her memory

A small garden, a bench and a plaque along the Ogden River Parkway now stand as a memorial to a little girl who died in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The parents of 6-year-old Emilie Parker came back to Ogden this week where friends and relatives wanted to do something so that the little girl is never forgotten. Emilie's parents, Robbie and Alissa Parker — who are from Ogden — were thrilled to see the memorial.

“It was a parkway that we used a lot with Emilie,” Alissa Parker said. “She was very familiar with it. Every time we came to visit, when we'd come back, we'd often go there. We have a lot of memories at the parkway."
