Photos: Guess Which Church Leaders Have Thrown First Pitches at Dodger Stadium

Elder Neil L. Andersen wound up on the pitcher's mound at Dodger Stadium on July 1, 2016, prepared to throw the first pitch. There to catch the pitch, which went straight over the plate, was Elder Rueben Acosta, an Area Seventy.

Over 2,500 Latter-day Saints were there to cheer Elder Andersen on as they attended Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium. Having been held for over 30 years, Mormon Night is the longest-running community event, sponsored by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium usually features a Church leader throwing out the first pitch and an LDS artist, such as Tiffany Houghton, Kirby Heyborne, Erik Christensen, or Alex Boye, singing the National Anthem. The Dodgers also let the Primary age children meet players on the field, receiving autographed baseballs and Dodger gear.
