Picturing history: Brigham Young home in Iowa

After leaving Missouri, Brigham Young and his family settled in Montrose, Iowa, across the Mississippi River from Nauvoo, Ill.

While Brigham was serving a mission in Great Britain, his wife and children moved to the Nauvoo side of the river. There they constructed a log cabin.
