The family-owned and -operated business Family Yard Art offers a great job opportunity to stay-at-home moms who aren’t able to work away from home, as well as a chance to spend quality time with their kids. The company specializes in renting personalized yard greeting signs for LDS missionary farewells and homecomings, birthdays, birth announcements and more.
The Oliver-Crowe family came up with the business idea because they wanted to spend more time together as a family. “We wanted to find a business that was positive, promoted positive things for families and that the whole family could work on and feel a part of together,” said Cary Oliver-Crowe, co-owner of Family Yard Art.
Her kids helps design the signs, deliver them, and prepare and clean them.
“This is a true blessing to us and has been a great way for us to grow and get to know each other,” Oliver-Crowe said.
Starting your own yard greeting business can be as low as $900. Most people start on a part-time basis, and then expand into full-time by broadening their client base and their inventory. For more information on rental or starting your own business, please visit familyyardart.com.
