"All is not lost," the Piano Guys posted on their websiteafter Annie Schmidt's family called off the search for their lost daughter.

On the website, Michelle Schmidt shared her gratitude and testimony with all those who prayed for their family:

"I desire for everyone to know, who has exercised their faith in behalf of our family, your faith has not gone unanswered. We have been literally carried and sustained through day after day. We have felt a calm and a peace beyond ourselves that have enabled us to get up each morning and function and do what needs to be done that day to continue our efforts to find our daughter. We know that this is a result of your prayers. Thank you (times a million).
"We have been unable to find our sweet daughter’s body at this time. But these things we know. We know that Heavenly Father has heard the countless prayers and combined faith exercised by people literally all over the world. We know He has heard us, and if He choses to not show us where to find her, then we trust that there is a purpose in this. We know we are in His hands. We know He loves us and everyone who has reached out in such kindness and support. We can feel peace in putting our lives in His hands and pray that His purposes will be fulfilled in this whole experience."

On Facebook, Michelle Schmidt shared a quote from Elder Holland, sharing her own testimony of "I know this":

"I am testifying that God never leaves us alone, never leaves us unaided in the challenges we face. 'Nor will he, so long as time shall last, or the earth shall stand, or there shall be one man or woman or child upon the face therof to be saved.' On occasions, global or personal, we may feel we are distanced from God, shut out from heaven, lost, alone in dark and dreary places. Often enough that distress can be of our own making, but even then the Father of us all is watching and assisting. (I KNOW THIS!) And always there are those angels who come and go all around us, seen and unseen, known and unkown, mortal and immortal."

Perhaps one of the most beautiful testimonies from the Schmidt family comes from Annie herself, one that's shared in this beautiful video posted by Kimberly Lochner of her and Annie singing the hymn "Nearer, My God, to Thee" while at the mission home in Georgia in 2015:
