What do you call the perfect family home evening game? We call it the Perfect FHE Game! It’s perfect because it is fun for the whole family, gospel learning takes place as you answer questions about the Scriptures, you get to determine how long the game will take, and there are treats involved.
I originally created this game for my children and grandchildren. They loved it so much that they suggested I put it on the market for other families to enjoy. This game provides great opportunities for teaching moments about the scriptures. For example, there was a question about the prodigal son eating the food for the pigs. My grandkids thought that was pretty gross because they didn’t know the parable. I stopped the game and told them the story of the Prodigal Son as they listened intently, and then we continued playing the game. For me, that moment was priceless.
There are over 1000 questions online covering the Bible, The Book of Mormon, Other Scriptures such as the Pearl of Great Price and the Articles of Faith, and Music from the Hymn Book and the Children’s Songbook. The questions are presented on a computer screen and the player can choose the level of difficulty of the question. As correct answers are given, the player receives treats of their choice, such as candy-coated chocolates or small crackers resembling goldfish or whatever will best motivate the player to win the Tree of Life.
