Thousands of Scouts gather food Saturday

Utah's Scouting for Food drive, the single largest one-day food drive sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America, will take place Saturday, March 26.

Beginning at 9 a.m., thousands of Scouts throughout the state will gather food to support needs of the Utah Food Bank and other local food pantries. Millions of pounds of food will be collected in just a few hours.

Residents are asked to put commercially packaged, non-perishable food items outside their front doors by 9 a.m. Products low in sodium/sugar/corn syrup are appreciated. Perishable food and food packaged in glass cannot be accepted.
