When Typhoon Haiyan struck the central Philippine islands on 8 November, more than 10,000 Filipinos sought refuge with 4,000 of their Mormon neighbors in 200 chapels of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The video below shows how these sturdy structures now shelter hundreds of displaced families while also providing humanitarian support to those in need in dozens of ravaged communities.
