Video: Marching Band Not Allowed to Play 'How Great Thou Art,' Crowd Sings It Anyway

23356.jpg

The marching band at Brandon High School in Mississippi sat on the bench at halftime during their season-opening game. Not a flute or tuba player stepped on the field, the results of a recent court order banning the band from performing the Christian hymn, "How Great Thou Art."

But the court order didn't stop the fans. Part way through halftime, one fan began singing the hymn and the numbers gradually grew until all of the fans were joined together in a moving display of devotion. Take a listen!
