Students at BYU recently created "Mental Health Matters," a powerful video illuminating the many different forms of mental illnesses.

The video was created for BYU's Mental Health Awareness week and coincides with BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum's Twitter post about his journey through life with anxiety and depression.

Though often stigmatized, mental illness affects 42.5 million adults in America each year or nearly 20 percent of the adult population in the U.S. These powerful stories show just how important it is for people to know that mental illness can affect anyone.

"People need to know it comes in so many different shapes and sizes," a woman shares in the video.
