Brothers Micah and Jasher Hydrick both opened their mission calls on the same day together—and both discovered some pretty exciting news. Just as they learned about their missions on the same day, the two newly called missionaries will also report to their respective MTCs on the same day.

After opening their calls, the two took to Facebook to share their thoughts:

Micah

"The decision to serve a mission was not a hard one for me because it's one that I have been constantly making all throughout my life. Ever since I can remember I have desired to serve a mission. Getting baptized, ordained to both priesthoods, and serving in those priesthoods and coatings as best I can are evidences of my continuing decision to serve The Lord and bring an incomprehensible joy and salvation to my brothers and sisters.
"I feel very honored and blessed to be called to serve the people of the Goiânia, Brazil mission. I have worked very hard to be one worthy and eligible in the eyes of my Heavenly Father to be one of his instruments in bring salvation and exaltation to His children. For that responsibility and the weight of that, I am eternally grateful. Always follow the spirit no matter what. In doing so, you can never go wrong. It’s literally impossible."

Jasher

"Hello, I am Jasher Hydrick and I have received my mission call to Madrid, Spain! The main reason I decided to serve a mission is that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been an amazing blessing in my life. It has brought me joy, hope, and peace. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have, and I want to share that with others. I want my fellow brothers and sisters to be able to experience the same joy, hope, and peace I feel in my own life. I want them to be able to come to know The Savior and that through him they can experience eternal happiness.
"I am so excited to serve my mission. I know that learning the language will be tough at first, but I look forward to the challenge. To be honest, I was a little nervous at first with the idea of going to Spain, but I soon felt that it was where my Heavenly Father wanted me to go. I am overall just really psyched to go and serve. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity I have been given to have the gospel, and now the opportunity I have to share it with the people of Spain. I encourage anyone who has any desire at all to serve a mission to pray and ask God what He would have you do. I know He will help you if you ask in Faith. Also, if anyone reading this ends up going to Spain, please don’t hesitate to look me up and invite me over for dinner:)"
