Women's Conference: Virtuous life is essential to be worthy to stand in holy places

The importance of choosing to live a virtuous life is essential to be worthy to stand in holy places and fulfill one’s divine mission here upon the earth, the Young Women general presidency said during Women’s Conference at Brigham Young University on Thursday, April 29, in the Marriott Center on the university’s campus.

“In order to be worthy to stand in holy places such as a temple, we must stress virtue and a return to virtue,” said Sister Elaine S. Dalton, Young Women general president. “The word return is very important because it is possible to return if one has made a mistake. The Savior’s atonement makes this possible.”

The Young Women general presidency, Sister Dalton, Sister Mary N. Cook, first counselor, and Sister Ann M. Dibb, second counselor, all spoke of the importance of living a life of virtue.

“The call for a return to virtue is a call for all of us,” Sister Dalton said. “It is a call for the world. It is a call for the world now.”
