It's not that I disagree with anything presented. It's pretty standard doctrine here, but it is so distinctly of its time that I'm a little bit stumped as to how to present it to this group.
The most recent quote in the whole lesson is from 1980. I was born in 1978, and this lesson was taught to me when I was in Young Women. Back in my day we heard SOOOO much of this stuff. I remember hearing over and over again that my generation were the generals in the war in heaven. That we were the choicest spirits, the most intelligent intelligences, the hope of the future. I heard that "generals in the war in heaven" quote attributed to everyone from Ezra Taft Benson to John Bytheway to every single Apostle. I heard it so often that in the early days of the internet the sites that predated the bloggernacle tried to spread the word debunking this imaginary and incorrect statement.
