"A Map in Your Lap" Song: # 301 "I am a Child of God" Items Needed: A Treasure Map A graphic depiction of the plan of salvation Previous Preparation: Make a treasure map. You could draw it on parchment paper, crumple it up and burn the edges to give it a more "authentic" appearance. Also make the plan-of-salvation map. (Like the one below.) ![]() Lesson Idea: Show the treasure map and ask why it is so important to follow it exactly. Show the plan-of-salvation map and ask the same question. Ask how the two maps are the same and how they are different. Explain that we ultimately choose the "treasure" we want in life, either worldly treasures or the Lord's treasures. The final decision lies with us. Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:22 2 Nephi 9:13 Moses 6:62 Abraham 3:22-23 Need a hymn book? >> Click here
